About Jesus
HERE ARE 5 LIFE CHANGING TRUTHS YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW:
1. JESUS LOVES YOU! Yes He does! Just as you are! Right now! Isn't that awesome? Jesus loves you just as you are: sinful, in chains, dirty, undeserving, wounded, broken, weak, ashamed, guilty, and whatever else you may be feeling, and whatever it is that you have done! Jesus loves you, right now, in your present situation, just as you are! In fact, here is one of the most awesome truths you will ever hear: THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING YOU CAN DO THAT WOULD CAUSE JESUS TO LOVE YOU MORE THAN HE DOES RIGHT NOW! That is not only good news, that is awesome news! Jesus doesn't love us because we are good or holy or obedient. He loves us because the Bible says in 1 John 4:8, that "God is love." He doesn't love you because of you. He loves you because that is who He is! God is love! That is His nature. So nothing you could ever do, or not do, can stop Him from loving you! And nothing you could ever do, or not do, could cause Him to love you more than He does at this very minute, just as you are, whatever is in your past, or whatever you are going through currently! Told you that was awesome news!
2. JESUS DIED FOR YOUR SIN, AND YOUR SINS. Every last one of them. Jesus paid YOUR price when He died on the cross! He offers you complete forgiveness and restoration into a right relationship with Him, the God of the universe! Because He loves you with an immense love, He wants you to be a part of His family. Your invitation to this life is not based on anything that you have done or could do. It is based upon accepting His FREE GIFT based upon what Jesus did on the cross when He paid for our sin with His death. He paid YOUR price, but you must accept His payment if you want His forgiveness.
3. JESUS OFFERS YOU ETERNAL LIFE! He offers you this life in exchange for your present life that you are living. He calls you to start a new life by following Him as your Savior, Lord, and King. That means you give Him all of yourself, for the rest of your life, and ask Him to be the Lord of your life. You commit to follow Him for the rest of your days, and you seek to glorify Him by walking with Him as an obedient child of the King. You will find that He will help you do this as He gives you the Holy Spirit to live inside of you, and He gives you the will and the strength to follow Him by living for Him.
4. JESUS HAS A WONDERFUL PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE! Not only does the God of the universe love you, and not only did He die for your sin, and not only does He offer you eternal life with Him forever, but He also has a wonderful plan for your life! That doesn’t mean that your life will be easy, and you won’t face any difficulties, as you surely will. But it does mean that He has a plan for you and He wants you to discover that plan as you grow closer to Him, and walk with Him throughout your life. He wants to give you meaning and purpose as you live your life for HIs glory. And whatever you thought your plans were for your life, you can rest assured, His plans are better!
5. JESUS OFFERS THIS INVITATION TO YOU RIGHT NOW! That’s right. You can accept His free gift of salvation RIGHT NOW by simply confessing that you are a sinner, and that you accept what He did on the cross for you, and giving Him all of your life as you commit to follow Him for the rest of your life. If that is what you really want to do, you can do it by praying a prayer something like this:
Dear Jesus, I know that I have sinned against You and that I am a sinner. Thank You for dying on
the cross for me and my sin. I accept Your free gift of salvation and I repent from my old way of
living for myself. I come to You and commit my life to follow You for the rest of my life! Thank You
for Your Free Gift of salvation! I do commit my life to You, and accept You into my life to be my Savior,
and the Lord of my life! Thank You for saving me, and making me a new person! Help me to know You,
walk with You, and glorify You with my life!
